About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for industrial, commercial, and residential formwork and concrete construction projects. This is a part-time, work-from-home role requiring 20 hours per week, ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong estimating experience in the Australian construction industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing drawings, performing quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities
Review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings
Perform detailed quantity take-offs for:
Formwork
Reinforcement (Steel Fixing)
Concrete
Excavation (where required)
Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
Calculate labour, material, equipment, and overhead costs
Identify project risks and cost-saving opportunities
Maintain estimating databases and pricing schedules
Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors
Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities)
Assist during tender clarification and negotiation stages
Ensure estimates comply with Australian construction standards
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience
Strong understanding of:
Formwork Systems
Concrete Construction
Steel Fixing
Structural Drawings
Experience with commercial and industrial projects
Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural plans
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Excellent communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to meet tender deadlines

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:
Civil Engineering
Construction Management
Quantity Surveying
Structural Engineering
Australian estimating experience is highly preferred.
